Aussie Hoops is an introductory basketball program for children aged 4 to 10 years, run by the Keilor Basketball Association. It’s the perfect starting point for young players to learn the fundamentals of the game in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.

Each session is designed to teach the basic skills of basketball—dribbling, passing, shooting, footwork, and teamwork—through engaging and fun activities. The focus is on participation, confidence-building, and developing a love for the game, with a little bit of competition as well!

Our experienced and supportive coaches create a positive atmosphere where every child is encouraged to try their best, make new friends, and enjoy being active. The sessions include fun challenges, group games, and mini basketball activities that keep kids moving and learning at the same time.

We run Aussie Hoops sessions at a variety of times and locations throughout the week, in partnership with several local domestic clubs. Browse the full list of session times and locations below and click ‘REGISTER NOW’ to secure your child’s spot today!

If you would like a free trial session for new participants or would like any further information, please contact the below email. If you would like a make up session if you cannot attend one week, also contact the below email to oragnise.

PLEASE NOTE: If your child requires additional support or has a learning or physical disability, I would highly encourage that you put them into our All Abilities program which is designed for these kids. See our inclusion tab for more information.

Rep Ready

The Rep Ready Program is a targeted development pathway for players aspiring to compete at representative level.

It is specifically designed to prepare athletes for upcoming rep trials in September, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to perform at a higher standard.

The program focuses on accelerating player development through a combination of technical skill training, tactical understanding, and game-based scenarios, all delivered in a high-performance but supportive environment.

Participants are exposed to the expectations and intensity of rep-level training, helping them better understand what selectors look for and how to compete effectively during trials.
