KBA Announces Australian Basketball Legend, Kristi Harrower as New NBL1 Women's Head Coach

Keilor, 31st August – The Keilor Basketball Association is thrilled to announce the appointment of Kristi Harrower as the new NBL1 Women's Head Coach. An inductee into the Basketball Australian Hall of Fame, with an illustrious career as a former Australian Opals Captain and extensive coaching experience, Harrower brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the organisation.

Harrower's impressive basketball journey includes representing Australia at 4 Olympic Games, bringing home 3 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze and most notably a Gold Medal at the 2006 World Championships, she has showcased her exceptional leadership skills and deep understanding of the game all over the world. Her achievements on the court have solidified her as one of the country's most respected and accomplished athletes.

Beyond her playing career, Harrower has honed her coaching skills through various roles, including her involvement in the development of young talent and her contributions to elite-level coaching programs including current assistant coach roles with Melbourne Boomers (WNBL) and the Australian Opals. Her commitment to fostering growth and her dedication to the sport align seamlessly with Keilor Basketball Association's values and aspirations.

With an incredible playing career across the WNBA, WNBL and Europe, Harrowers trophy cabinet is full to the brim. With 2 WNBL Championships with Bendigo Spirit, a Championship in France and Germany, a WNBL MVP award in 2009/10 and 7 WNBL All Star 5 awards, Kristi is no stranger to success.
